For this project, these concrete panels where manufactured by our company for other contractors, we where not involved in the installation or design of the project.
The brief was to copy the colour and texture of the concrete panels to the building next to Astoria. The stunning result can be seen below.
We were tasked to match the concrete colour and texture to the old building across the street to keep in line with the current style. To achieve this effect we had to use specially selected aggregate and also Rekli moulds on the project.
Glass-reinforced concrete, GRC – 20mm panel thickness were installed using AGS system.
Throughout the samples process, the right mix of the colour and the texture was selected to achieve these amazing results, with the limestone looking like concrete while still allowing thee possibility of large formats flexibly in shapes and thickness
The final result of the project was a great success, and the building looked fantastic amongst the other buildings in the street, due to the carefully blended colours.
We used GRC 20mm concrete panels on Reckli moulds for this building.
